The vision of Habitat for Humanity is a world where everyone can live in a decent place.
The first three houses, in our country, were handed over in 1999 in Port Botanical, the peripheral area of the capital in the Central Department. As of December 2008, they were able to provide 900 housing solutions, positively impacting the lives of nearly 5,000 people.
Currently we are developing projects in the departments of Itapúa, Central, Paraguarí, Caaguazú, Concepción, Presidente Hayes, and Boquerón.
The institutional status of Habitat for Humanity Paraguay is approved by the Government of the Country. Our organization has legal status recognized by Decree No. 807 and is actively involved in the Red del Habitat Popular del Paraguay (Paraguay People's Habitat Network), an organization which encompasses inter-governmental institutions and civil society organizations working in this field.
