| The first brigade of volunteers, composed of affiliates from the state of Colorado, arrived on October 4th with the intention of helping a Paraguayan family build their own home |
| ALLIANCE FORMED BETWEEN HABITAT FOR HUMANITY CHILE AND HABITAT FOR HUMANITY PARAGUAY |
| With the intention of joining forces for the growth of both organizations, Habitat for Humanity Chile and Habitat for Humanity Paraguay signed an agreement on February 15th 2009, in Santiago, Chile. Through this, they formed an alliance that has the following principles: innovative exchange of work strategies; dialogue about the political housing; the cooperation of country programs and the mobilization of resources. |

| Since 1985, the General Assembly of the United Nations has designated World Habitat Day as the first Monday in month of October with the objective of calling attention to the growing population and the inadequate living conditions that millions of people suffer from, located all around the world. |
| HABITAT PROJECT FOCUCED ON GIVING AID TO TEACHERS |
| Habitat for Humanity Paraguay has recently created a project which will give support to the teachers of Paraguay. The objective is to bring technical and financial assistance to the teachers; enabling these families to either build a new home or to improve the living conditions of their current home. |
| LOCAL COMPANIES HELP CONSTRUCT HOMES FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES |
| The houses of three families will finish soon thanks to the partnership of Habitat for Humanity Paraguay and several local companies: Gas Corona, JF Cacavelos and Record Electric. We visit these families to share their experiences: |
| THE PRINTS OF HOPE ORGANIZATION LEAVES THEIR MARK IN ITAPUA |
| Jesus Tavarangue, Itapúa: Habitat for Humanity Paraguay and partner organizations completed 11 homes for low-income families in Itapúa, located 35 kilometers from the city of Encarnacion. |
| A SOLIDARITY SPIRIT WITHOUT BORDERS CHANGES THE LIVES OF 11 FAMILIES IN THE DISTRICT OF JESUS, ITAPUA |
| Habitat for Humanity and other partner organizations handed over 6 houses in the district of Jesus, concluding the stay of the "Prints of Hope" volunteers, while the volunteers of the Global Village Program will continue to work in order to complete the 11 promised houses. |
| 300 FAMILIES WILL BE TRAINED IN FINANCIAL EDUCATION |
| Some of the most deprived families in the country will participate in the Habitat for Humanity Financial Education Project in order to look for another way to improve the management of their resources, their living conditions, and their quality of life. |
| THROUGH PARNERTSHIPS, HABITAT FOR HUMANITY WILL BUILD 10 MORE HOMES IN ITAPUA |
| Through a partnership with the Adventist Hospital in the city of Hohenau, Habitat for Humanity Paraguay will construct 10 more houses in the city of Jesus with support from the Interior Department of Itapúa and from the municipality of Jesus. They will be building homes for the families that live in extreme poverty. |
| HABITAT CELEBRATES THE INAUGURATION OF THE 1000th HOUSE IN PARAGUAY |
| Habitat for Humanity completed its goal of reaching one thousand housing solutions in the country. Between June 1 to June 6, 2009 the construction of the houses took place in Benjamin Aceval. |

| On September 2008, Habitat for Humanity Paraguay celebrates 10 years of local presence with the release of the event called: “Faith + Hope + Action = 5 Houses in 5 days”. |
