Transportation

We work with reliable transportation companies and people that worked with us and our groups over the last years. This will be your first contact with Paraguayan culture, when you get picked up at the airport.

We will have 1 or 2 vans, depending on the size of the group, to transport you to and from the worksite every day. At least one van will stay at the site for cases of emergency.

Airport Pickup

Once you pass through customs, look for the Habitat for Humanity staff member holding the Habitat for Humanity sign. The GV Coordinator will then take you to your accommodations.

If for some reason a team member does not make the connection and does not arrive at their destination when planned, please contact the Global Village Coordinator by phone (staff).

  • All team members must carry the Emergency Contact Information document with them (not in their checked luggage) while travelling.
  • Team members should keep close guard of their personal belongings at all times.
  • It is not advisable to accept any help from anyone offering to carry your luggage.

Money exchange

Your money can be exchanged at the airport as soon as you land. This is just a reminder that banks and tour providers do not take USD 100 dollar bills that start with the following series letters: BC, C, CB and D Other USD 100.00 bills are accepted.
